Wild Oregano Oil Protocol

Postby Lori on Wed May 16, 2007 3:51 pm

Hi, My husband completing his second week on Phase One of the WOO protocol after completing 2 weeks on Absorb Plus. See my post from a couple of weeks ago, "Still Bleeding". He is having some great results, just traces of blood at this point, formed stools 3 to 5 times a day. He is taking 2 capsules of Oreganol, 3 times a day, and he is up to 1/2 teaspoon Bifido Factor before bed. He wants to work up gradually on the probiotics. He is also doing George's, NAG, and l-glutamine before each meal, and taking 2 Ferrasorb a day for anemia, along with 2-4 cubes of thawed wheatgrass daily. We have a few questions. How long can he stay on Phase 1 of the protocol? Is there any reason to be in a hurry to move on to Phase 2? He also really dislikes the tast of the powdered probiotics and is wondering if he can mix the powdered probiotics he is taking before bed with yoghurt ? He also seems to be more tired since being on the WOO even though bleeding and diarrhea have improved dramatically. Is this just something to be expected as healing is taking place, or is there anything he can do to feel a bit more energetic? We are farmers and in the middle of planting season so he rests when he can, depending on the rains. All in all, things going really well. Thanks, Lori

Hi Lori,

Yes, he should stay on Phase I for as long as he feels.

The wheatgrass is a big detox agent - so that could be what's making him tired. Cut back to one cube per day and see how he feels. It's better to detox slowly than to tax your system too much.

Yes, he can mix the probiotics with organic yoghurt. Even better if you can make your own yoghurt from raw milk and add it to that. Probiotics have been consumed via yoghurt for thousands of years, so it should work well. As long as he can tolerate the dairy.....test it and see.

all the best,
Jini

If you mix the probiotics with yogurt, do you still need to drink water afterwards?

Hi, Cristina.

No, you wouldn't need to.
