Internal syringe for oregano oil

I am finding your Listen to Your Gut extremely helpful. On page 78 you mention that syringes, the longer the better, can be obtained at pharmacies. Unfortunately, here in San Francisco I have tried medical supply stories and pharmacies, but have only been able to find syringes that have a ridge or other hard edge on them so that they are not comfortable to use. Do you have any suggestions as to where I can obtain syringes with rounded tips? Thank you.

Syringing Wild Oregano

Hi there,

Depending on the amount you wish to syringe, and whether you're okay to insert the syringe more than once (ie. fill it up and syringe again multiple times) you could use the 1ml syringes as they have no ridge.

However, you may prefer to use a bulb enema for babies. This way the nozzle is nice and narrow, but then you would need a much larger amount of solution - or else you'd end up squirting a lot of air into your rectum as well.

The other thing that may work is to lubricate both rectum and syringe with lots of comfrey salve to aid insertion over the ridge.

Please let us know how it goes and what you work out as the best solution.

take care,
Jini
