Oil of Oregano amd Probiotics questions

Postby awatt on Sat May 05, 2007 6:51 pm

I'm going to start the Oil of Oregano, but need a link to teh most recent protocol as I've read it's changed.

Regarding probiotics, I would likr to change to teh Natren. Article by Jini says to start with teh probiotic (bifido?) that acts mostly in the large bowel. Well my Crohns is in the small bowel, so should I start with one of teh other probiotics instead?

Thanks

probiotics and wild oregano oil

Postby Nicole on Sat May 05, 2007 10:59 pm

Hi, awatt.

To introduce myself, I'm Nicole and I act as the moderator of the main forum.

The most current information about the Wild Oregano Oil is in the newest version of Listen to Yout Gut. It is available at www.holistichealthshoppe.com in either e-book or hardcover format.

You can certainly start Jini's protocol using the information in the article on the home page of this website. However, there is a lot of background info on both substances in Listen to Your Gut that will benefit you immensely to have access to. Also, pursuing holistic healing means not just taking a couple of supplements, (although you can certainly start there and add on as you feel comfortable), but putting many things together, simultaneously. So, believe me, it is worth the cost to have Jini's entire program at your fingertips.

Some people find it easiest to start with the Megadophilus and others respond better initially to the Bifido Factor, by which I mean that they may tolerate one species better than the other to begin with. So you might buy a small bottle of each and simply see how you respond to one versus the other. (Unless you've taken probiotics successfully before, it may not be your best bet to start taking them both at the same time. You can build up to that.) Eventually, you need to take all three species (included in the Megadophilus, Bifido Factor and Digesta-Lac) in order to improve the gut flora in the entire digestive tract. Remember that even though your disease has manifested itself in the small intestine, it's all connected.
