Imagine vegetable broth

Postby Amy on Tue Sep 05, 2006 1:58 pm

Hi-
I had some of the vegetable broth made by Imagine this weekend because the ingredients just said organic vegetables and filtered water and some spices, so i thought it was okay for the diet. But then i was reading through the book and ended up calling the company and they said there was pureed veggies in it. Jini says not to have any soup with that, so now does that mean I have to start the diet over, i just finished 2 wks and this just seems awful to me... but i don't know?? Wondering what anyone else thinks?

starting over?

Postby karen mansfield on Tue Sep 05, 2006 10:19 pm

Hello Amy,

I don't have much experience with Imagine broth but I wanted to say that in my opinion it seems a little rigid to start over because you had some of that veggie broth. How did your gut respond to the broth? Did you feel any cramping or experience any change in your bowels? I think if you plan to stay on the diet for 6 weeks you'll have to trust your gut instinct about staying on an additional 2 weeks.

With my son, he had some Miso Soup while on the IBD Remission Diet. That was not okay either but for the most part he continued to improve on the IBD Remission Diet. The IBD Remission Diet has always helped his situation but so far, after almost 2 years with Crohn's, he has yet to get it into remission.

Good Luck To YOU,
Karen Mansfield

Hi Karen,
Thanks for your response, I think you are right , and that I was being a little extreme! But I'll guess I'll just feel it out and see how I feel.

I'm sorry that your son is still struggling for remission, and I hope for the best for him. Anyway, thank you for answering my questions on this forum, it has been really helpful, I might be back with more!
