why is there "water" coming out with bowel movements

Postby getinthere on Wed Oct 07, 2009 8:54 pm

I'm flaring for the first time after healing up from my original UC experience. I got lazy on my eating habits and had lots of emotional triggers.
Anyway, I have lots of watery type stuff coming out with bowel movements and any gas I have to pass. when I'm bleeding, the fluid is reddish. when I'm not, it's yellowish or brownish from stool.
I've not gone on a strict elemental diet yet...have done a week, then been following the stop bleeding diet. I do 1 or 2 shakes a day and normal food one or two meals a day. I've been taking the healthy trinity capsules
I've yo yo'ed between doing the healing enemas, which work, but really mess my system up for a couple of days...tons of liquid/diarhrea for a day or two. I had horrible reactions when I did the probiotic retention enema...tons of gas and liquid(die off)
is this just normal fluid draining from the ulcerations? or do I need to take more l-glutamine? or take less oil? any experience or insight would be great... because the liquid means I have to stay pretty close to the bathroom, which as we all know messes up your life.

thanks, christy
