candida die off

Postby lindsay on Thu Jun 11, 2009 10:37 pm

hi,
i think i have candida overgrowth. so yesterday i ate only proteins, a few nuts, and vegetables. (all organic) i had raw cheese and raw milk and probiotics too. i also did some research and i think i tried too many anti fungals in one day. i felt great after i took each of them (grapefuit seed extract, wild oregano oil, garlic, and coconut oil) last night i woke up at 2am i was so tired but i couldn't sleep. i got really hot and then chills, i think i had a fever. i slept off and on but not very much. my arms and legs felt exhausted in the morning. and i craved carbs. i knew not to eat them though, but i decided since i'm going to have to eat junk food next week and i didn't want to feel awful all day today because i had things to do, i ate carbs. i felt so much better, and my body even handled the food better then it normally does for a while, but then my symptoms came back. i want to try this again in a week when i am back from camp. does anyone have any other advice?

thanks,
Lindsay

Try one antifungal at a time. Too much overwhelms your system and produces a die off that makes you feel miserable.

It's very common to have cravings for foods you have reactions or sensitivities to. As you can tell, when you eat them again, you may temporarily feel better, but then much worse later. Cravings usually go away after 2-3 days, but holding out against temptation can be tough. And a yeast overgrowth will cause you to crave carbs and sweets and yeasty things, regardless of whether or not you have reactions to them.

yes, ok thank you. i am not doing much for the next week and a half so i will try it again, without as many antifungals at one time.

Thanks again!
