Dear Gini.

I wonder if you would mind elaborating a bit more about Aileen Nobles than you did in your book. How many sessions did you have with her? Did you really find her actually "psychic"? I certainly did not. After getting into EFT which looks fairly simple and straightforward on its face, I found it to be fraught with a myraid of "aspects", complications, and a endless list of why it might not be working!!! I guess one could just tap away for months on end and hope something kicks in. I have DVD's and have viewed them all and of course, read the manuscript. I just don't know what to make of it.

Also, unfortunately, none of your remedies for hemorrhoids have worked on me, including the suppositories with comfrey. Also tried horse chestnut and witch hazel leaf extract in a product called Hem-Relief which did not work either. Isn't it true that if an herb is going to work for you it should be noticeable in a few days or so? Do you have any other suggestions and what do you think about the latest procedures like scleropathy, laser, etc?

Hi, Diane.

I can't answer how many sessions Jini had with Aileen Nobles, as I don't know the answer, but I will reply to the rest.

First, it helps to remember that no one therapy will do everything for everyone. Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, admits that for an unknown reason, there are some people that EFT does not work on. However, there are several other reasons why EFT may not work, which are covered in his free manual and which you can check out to see if you think any of them apply. I know you already have it, but for anyone who may not, you can download the manual from www.emofree.com.

That said, remember that Jini saw more than one EFT practitioner, as well as trying it on her own, before she found two that she really clicked with, one of whom was Aileen Nobles. Until she found people with whom she really connected - and similar to romantic chemistry, this type of connection is either there or its not - she didn't experience any great results from EFT.

So Aileen simply may not be the right person for YOU, even though Jini found her to be really helpful. If you intuitively feel that EFT can be a helpful therapy for you, it is worth the time and legwork to find a practitioner with whom YOU connect. If, on the other hand, you just don't feel that it's right for you, then by all means feel free to explore other avenues, such as craniosacral therapy with a therapist certified for Somato-Emotional work, to give one example. Just because EFT has worked for Jini and others doesn't mean it's necessarily the most effective path for you.

It is also important to remember that EFT can be extremely effective, but it's not magic. It's not at all uncommon for it to take some time to completely get through deep-seated issues, simply because they do tend to have so many levels and/or aspects. It's also not uncommon for things to get worse before they get better. I think of this as being similar to a physical detox. When those stored toxins are released for expulsion, they make you feel worse, but once they've been processed/removed from the body, you feel much better. It's exciting to read about "one-minute wonders" as Gary refers to them, but they don't happen with every case.

Now, to answer your question about herbal medicines. No, in most cases, they definitely do not work as quickly as pharmaceutical medicines. It really depends on the particular herb, so you do have to do some homework, but at least for tonic herbs, one guideline I have read is to try them for at least three months before deciding whether they are effective for your body. Herbs tend to work very gradually in the body. And of course, it makes sense that when choosing a brand or supplier, you have to pay as much attention to quality as you would with your food.

I don't really have enough information from what you shared, but it may be that what you need to concentrate on is what is setting you up to develop hemorrhoids in the first place. For instance, if you have either chronic constipation or diarrhea, either of these can cause hemorrhoids. So you would really need to address these before you'd have much success treating the hemorrhoids you do have and not forming any new ones....

I hope this is helpful to you.
