Digestive Enzyme Supplementation

Postby Sparky on Sat Jan 03, 2009 1:59 pm

I have Crohn's disease and am managing my disease naturally with diet, exercise and supplements. I am taking Healthy Trinity and Life Start 2 and have been taking 3 of each 3 times per day for 6 months. I have a severe sensitivity to molds/fungus/yeast and pineapple. Do you believe in supplementing with digestive enzymes and if so, which one? I need a product that would accomodate my sensitivities.

I don't appear to have any pancreatic issues.

Hi, Sparky.

Jini doesn't recommend digestive enzymes, although I know a couple of people who found them very helpful. I tried them myself and didn't find any noticeable improvement from them.

So follow your own gut on the issue. With the Internet, you have a great tool to research multiple brands and manufacturers.

I know you can also read about at least one other person's experience trying enzymes on this forum. Do a search for "enzymes" and it'll probably come up.

Hope that helps!
