various questions regards to Crohns

Postby Maryam0312 on Thu Nov 06, 2008 8:05 pm

Hi Nicole/Darkangel,

I am writing in behalf of my husband who is suffering from Crohns for 13 years, currently the medication that he takes are Pentasa and Remicade he has seen results for the past 13 years, but considering the side effects we are hoping to find a way to wean him off the drugs that he takes currently. My question is what is the best way to start weaning off the meds, Is it good to go to a naturapathic doctor who can help with the weaning off process? I bought Jini's LTYG and have read it thoroughly. Also, do these medications have adverse side effects on male impotence. I would appreciate any help.

regards,

Maryam,

Hi Darkangel,

Yes currently he is on remission, he takes 16 pentasa daily we have been able to reduce the dosage to pills to 15.He gets Remicade treatment every 40 days which is 9 times per year. Hi GI is very much anti alternative approaches and has said in the past that it won't help, I live in Boston Massachusetts do you know or any GI doctors and naturapathic doctors who can help with the getting him off the Remiciade.

thanks,

Maryam,
