Toothpaste

It might be fine, since she won't be swallowing the toothpaste.

For myself, I choose to use a toothpaste that does not contain carrageenan, sodium lauryl sulfate, fluoride, etc. Burt's Bees makes a good one.

www.burtsbees.com under "Oral Care" if you want to check it out. The only store I've found that carries it is Whole Foods Market.

Toothpaste

A. Vogel makes a toothpaste called Dentaforce that you can find at Whole Foods. No sodium lauryl sulfate, fluoride, etc. in that brand, either. It is expensive, though....

However, here are a couple of other options I learned about recently from Jini. These suggestions are based on the dental care protocol developed by Dr. Gerard Judd.

One is actually to use bar soap. I have tried this and yes, it is strange, as in quite different to using toothpaste, but it does make your teeth feel very smooth and clean.

Another is Vicco toothpaste, which contains several Ayurvedic herbs. Jini says she has been using this toothpaste herself, really likes it and is hoping to be able to offer it in the Holistic Health Shoppe in time. For the present, I haven't found a local store I can buy this in to try it, but it is available over the Internet.

I hope these suggestions will be helpful.

Toothpaste

Hi,
There's a company called "Weeda" or "Wedda" that produces products free of nasty ingredients. They're a fairly small company (NY based), but I believe I've seen them in either Whole Foods or the Vitamin Shoppe. Another small brand is "Gary Null's toothpaste" (either at garynull.com or the Vitamin Shoppe). I've used both at various times.

Vicco Toothpaste

Okay, Nicole has emailed me about this toothpaste issue and now I've finally got the toothpaste I use available in the Holistic Health Shoppe.

Click here to read about it and why I like it (Vicco - an ayurvedic toothpaste):

Also, while you're there: I've added another category called Personal / Body Care and you can check out my favorite body creams, shampoo, shaving cream, etc.

take care,
Jini
