Probiotic - VSL #3

This forum was for people who undertook the IBD Remission Diet. It was active for 4 years, so there is a huge body of support and advice here that you can search and find the answers to your questions. Remember, whatever you're going through, someone has likely already posted a question about it and the answer is here - just use the SEARCH function.

Probiotic - VSL #3

Postby Germaine on Mon Aug 06, 2007 4:35 am

I have just recently joined this forum and am wondering if you are familiar with the product, VSL#3? My 19 year old son has had UC for about 6 1/2 years and has used VSL#3 off and on for the last 1 1/2 years. He seems to tolerate it well and has good results with it (recently he stopped seeing blood in the toilet after restarting the product). I need to order more product very soon and am willing to switch to Natren probiotics if that is the best product for a UC patient. My son, Nick, is currently using the Absorb Plus shakes as a supplement but has not been doing the full IBD Remission Diet (though he really needs to, he has found it too hard to stick to completely so far). Thank you!
