Hello,
I recently went on the IBD diet for 6 weeks and did the food reintro.. but then about half way through the food reintro i took a road trip across country and moved to a new place and so things got alittle messed up with me. I want to get back on track, so i'm wondering if maybe going back on the diet for maybe 10 tens or something like that and doing the wild oregano might be helpful?? I really dont want to go on it for 6 wks again, but i dont want to do it for too short and have no results. any suggestions??

One other thing, i read about a product called Prodeim stool bulker.. anyone tried/heard of it?
thanks!
Amy

Hi Amy,

Studies have shown that two weeks on an elemental diet will clear a bacterial overgrowth. As for whether that will be sufficient time to put you in remission, no one can really answer that conclusively until you try it. I know that the second time Jini did the elemental diet, she did it for two weeks and that was enough.

I tried searching for Prodiem Stool Bulker, but couldn't find any information about it online. I did see one forum post that suggested it was a fiber supplement/laxative. If that's the case, I would avoid it while you are on the elemental diet.

Good luck,
Chris
