Empty stomach and timing of supplements

Postby Napoleon on Thu Apr 16, 2009 4:49 pm

Hi!

I take MucosaHeal first thing in the morning and I would like to take my probiotics both morning and night as well.

If I take the MucosaHeal, then my stomach is not technically empty; how long do I have to wait to take the probiotic?
Do I have to wait a full two more hours, or can I give the MucosaHeal twenty minutes or so and then take the Healthy Trinity?
Currently I am taking Healthy Trinity, instead of the powders, since I am constipated and have a very long transit time.

Also, I can live without eating first thing in the morning, but mentally and emotionally I do need to have large mug of green tea when I get up. I figure since it is a drink and not food, I am not disturbing the supplements. Is this correct?

Thanks!
Leon

Hi, Leon.

Here's the best way to do this:

1. Upon waking, take the Healthy Trinity with filtered or spring water.

2. Wait 15-20 minutes, which is enough time for the Healthy Trinity to clear the stomach as it's not mixed with anything that requires digestion.

3. Take the MucosaHeal and wait another 15-20 minutes.

4. Then go ahead and savor your morning cup of green tea. If you struggle with the wait, consider doing some EFT on your emotions, to reframe this as something good you're doing to take care of/nurture yourself.

All the best,
Nicole

Thanks Nicole!

It won't be a struggle at all to wait 40 minutes or so for the tea. I was fearing the possible two hour wait.

Your plan is completely workable.

Thanks-

You're very welcome. I'm glad my answer was a "happy" one for you. :)

I'm not a morning tea drinker myself, but I thoroughly savor a cup most afternoons...it's part of my start-my-workday-routine, so I completely understand your fearing a total disruption!

All the best,
Nicole
