Introducing MucosaHeal

Postby Nicole on Wed May 28, 2008 7:16 pm

A customer posed the following question:

Danielle,
Hi. Quite grateful to find Jini's website about three weeks ago. Really
appreciate the history and info as I feel better off the meds. I actually
had problems taking the Mucosaheal initially so I put it on hold. Started
using Bifido Factor by Natren with awesome results. Really trying to
follow the literature by Jini. I went too fast on the probiotic initially
by adding all three within a week then back tracked. Started over with the
Bifido factor and quite pleased. Changed diet and supplements. History of
supplements so far per Jini's history include Gummi multi, chelated iron,
COQ10, calcium, fish oil(capsule), and probiotics. Use Aloe Vera at times.
Any advice on adding Mucosaheal back?

Lorrie

Hi, Lorrie.

I'm glad to hear that things are going well with the Bifido Factor.

You can try waiting a few weeks and then add the MucosaHeal back in at the Maintenance Dose and see how you do. It's great to take with the aloe vera juice, as the two together will coat the intestinal wall and help to soothe and heal any irritated places. If you do well with the Maintenance Dose (give it at least a week to see) but feel that you will benefit from more support, then try increasing to the Moderate dosage.

Or, if you're worried about any adverse reaction, just stick with the aloe vera juice.

Probiotics, MucosaHeal and aloe vera juice must all be taken on an empty stomach, but shouldn't be taken all together.

At least 2 hours after you've had anything to eat, take the probiotics first, wait 20 minutes or so and then you can take the aloe vera juice or aloe vera juice mixed with MucosaHeal. If you're close to a mealtime, wait another twenty minutes and then you can eat.

I hope that helps.

Take care,
Nicole

Instructions

Postby mrk on Sun Aug 24, 2008 10:51 pm

I just received all my ingredients to start the elemental diet...Thanks!!!

I just had a couple of questions:

Is it okay to prepare several shakes a time and refrigerate them for
later use during that day instead of having to mix several times a
day?

With regards to the probiotics in all 3 forms...do I mix all three
together and how often should I take it?

I read that it's okay to mix the mucosaheal and aloe before bed...is
that correct?

Thanks,

MK

You need to use the shakes within four hours of mixing them.

I am assuming from your question that you are using the probiotic powders. Yes, you can mix the three together just before consuming in room-temperature spring or filtered water. For storage, the various species must not be in contact with each other.

As far as how often to take them, it partly depends on whether you've taken probiotics before successfully and where you are health-wise. You definitely want to work up to taking 7-10 billion cfu (colony forming units) each day of each species. 1 teaspon 3x/day of each species will get you at that dosage. Jini gives instructions for a cautious, moderate and fast approach to introducing probiotics on pages 175-178 of Listen to Your Gut.

I read that it's okay to mix the mucosaheal and aloe before bed...is

Yes, that's perfectly fine. You just can't take them at the same time as your probiotics. Take the probiotics first (on an empty stomach), wait twenty minutes or so and then take the aloe vera juice and MucosaHeal.

Hope that helps!
