This is a question that was e-mailed in to the Holistic Health Shoppe:
- I am not using AbsorbPlus because of insulin resistance though not diabetic
- 1 or 2 BMs with very little blood, but there is blood
- Using the stop bleeding diet although no carbs
- Started on Aloe Vera for a week now
- Using Meditation instead of EFT
Though bleeding is less, it's not stopping completely. What do you suggest further
Thanks
DVS
For everyone's general reference, one of the more difficult things to figure out is exactly where bleeding is coming from, i.e., is it true colonic bleeding or is it blood from a fissure or internal hemorrhoid. Jini does give some guidelines on pages 99-100 of Listen to Your Gut.
After reading that, I would suggest either adding Jini's Healing Implant Enema (instructions on pages 108-111 of LTYG) or FissureHeal, whichever you feel is appropriate. For an internal hemorrhoid or fissure, I would suggest FissureHeal. For actual colonic bleeding, the way to go is with Jini's Healing Implant Enema.
Either way, definitely continue with what you're doing, i.e., combine the new therapy with what you're already doing. For intestinal bleeding, it's a good idea to stay with the Stop Intestinal Bleeding Healing Diet for a couple of weeks after the bleeding stops and then gradually transition into the less stringent diet.
I would usually recommend MucosaHeal in addition to what you're doing, but because of your blood sugar levels/insulin resistance, in your case, I would first suggest talking with a naturopath.
Here's something I found regarding marshmallow root (one of the ingredients in MucosaHeal) and diabetes:
Interactions with Drugs
Based on animal study, marshmallow may lower blood sugar levels. Caution is advised when using medications that may also lower blood sugar. A qualified healthcare professional should monitor patients taking drugs for diabetes by mouth or insulin closely. Medication adjustments may be necessary.
I found this on http://www.revolutionhealth.com/article ... arshmallow
Hope that helps!
Take care,
Nicole
