It has been over a year now that my friends son recieved a Fecal Infusion and I am so pleased to inform everyone that he remains in complete remission,no symptoms of Ulcerative Colitis or PSC.He has no diet restrictions and has not been on any medications.His medical file at Sick Kids Hospital indicates that after a Fecal Infusion with his father as the donor no medical symptoms of UC and PSC are indicated.This is very encouraging news.

It would be great if you could post here every year with an update so we can see the long-term effects.

I'm also going to post a link to this topic in the Main Discussion Forum - it would be great if more people read about it, as perhaps others have tried it but we just haven't heard from them.

UPDATE- About six weeks ago the family of the little boy that received a fecal infusion over a year ago went on a vacation to Cuba and they all contracted an intestinal bug and had severe diarreaha. They all got better but the little boy relapsed and had a flare up of colitis.His mother put him on flagyl + amoxicilin for 2 weeks and continued after on flagyl+ cipro.This brought him into remission again with the same results as my daughter had experianced.He has been given a repeat of a 10 day course of infusions following a pre treatment course of antibiotics for I believe was 10 days .He is off all meds again and shows no symptoms.All is well again!!!!

Can this be used for Crohns/ Crohns Colitis?
Does anybody know the results?

This is not used for Crohns because ulcerative colitis manifests itself in the large intestine .
