I came across the following today, and was wondering if you might give me your thoughts. The first one deals with probiotics while treating parasitic infectiosn (which the wild oregano oil will do), and the 2nd deals with antioxidants while treating yeast (which the wild oregan oil, that little wonder, will also do). I wasn't sure if some fo the recommended "extra additives" to the shakes--bioflavenoids, etc.--are antioxidants. I've extracted the two paragraphs below, but the link to the entire page is as follows: http://www.food-allergy.org/root3.html
"Dr. Leo Galland does not recommend taking probiotics while under treatment for parasitic infestations because bacteria are “food†for protozoal parasites: save your probiotics to take after the course of anti-parasitic treatment is completed."
"Cysteine, glycine, and glutathione, while important antioxidants, can stimulate the growth of yeast in some patients with candidiasis. If you are taking botanical remedies for dysbiosis, your doctor may tell you to temporarily avoid all antioxidants because botanical medicines kill parasites and bacteria by oxidizing them, and thus, antioxidants reduce the effectiveness of these remedies."
By the way, this article also points out the efficacy of the elemental diet and food reintroduction for helping folks with Crohn's.
Many thanks for your thoughts!
