Threelac?

Postby possum on Sat Nov 24, 2007 9:09 am

I wonder if anyone has tried the Threelac probiotic for candida? It seems to help, but don't really know for sure. Would appreciate hearing other's experience with this product.

Uh oh, not good, read this warning....

I found this article, after reading it I would definitely STAY AWAY from this product, scroll down the bottom of the page for the truth about this product:
http://www.yeastinfectionadvisor.com/th ... eview.html
This is another example of a company thats doing what Garden of Eden is doing, putting out probiotic strains that don't have long term clinical testing in humans. Threelac has been in use for 7 years and apparently does control candida but the risks are great it would appear.

So, made another mistake with my health. So anyone have any good ways to knock candida way down? I know some of you have been doing the oregano oil thing but in Jini's book she says even this is experimental with no history to back it up. Comments?

MDs....

Postby possum on Wed Nov 28, 2007 3:25 am

I sure wouldn't take the word of an MD about an alternative health product, to most of them Candida is all in your mind; my Mom has been put on Nexium for heart burn, now there's an intelligent decision.....not. She believes in doctors though and she'll just get worse over time, but she's at the tail end of her life so I guess it doesn't matte much :-(

It did work for me and there are testimonials all over the net that it does work,.....but at what cost? One of the strains is banned in Australia with possible implications for Endocarditis (sp?). Thats enough for me to bail out on it, plus its expensive, but so is Natren, so I'm going back with proven human strains. Threelac, though if you stop for a couple days, BANG, you're back feeling like you're on bad drugs again. Anyway, I quit using it for good.

Hi, possum.

In my experience, the more multi-pronged your approach, the better and faster your results will be. But there's no one-size-fits-all.

Why can some people smoke and drink their whole lives and never get sick while others do everything humanly possible to care for themselves but they have one malady after another?

I can't claim to know THE answer, but I think there are a lot of hints that point to principles we can use to our advantage.

For some thoughts that I've already shared, see my September 14th post in the following discussion thread:

http://www.jinipatelthompson.com/bb2/vi ... php?t=1349

Another interesting interview about yeast can be found at:

Ultimately, how we approach our problems needs to be firmly based in what we know of ourselves. That's not to say, for instance, that a good diet won't benefit everyone, but how we implement it needs to be different from one person to another. One person can just throw themselves into something - another person taking the same approach might make themselves worse.

The very first thing I would do - even before researching another probiotic or other supplement - is have a real heart-to-heart with yourself about what you're willing to commit to. What would you be willing to commit to even if you saw no results - because sometimes results happen quickly and sometimes they take a long time. Start with whatever you're willing to do no matter what and work forward from there.

That said, I personally have had terrific success following Jini's Wild Oregano Protocol. I consider that one of the cornerstone treatments that I followed. But going back to my comment about a multi-pronged approach, it is only one of the things I did.

All the best,
Nicole

Its seems odd an alternative practitioner would say the threelac stuff is "worthless" when there's ample evidence that it does work, its real hard to find anyone who's actually used it say anything negative about it on the internet and believe me I searched alot. The thing is you have to read the directions when you use it. Unfortunately, the ONE thing I found that was somewhat negative was that you have to take more and more and if you stop even for a short time, WHAM, you feel awful. The fact that one of the strains in it is highly questionable and that I don't want to be supporting that company for the rest of my life either :-) The stuff supposedly has been used in Japan for about ten years. Anyway, I don't think its a worthless product, just maybe not a safe one, and I dislike the somewhat multilevel marketing feel of the company, usually those kinds of sales structures are a bad sign to me.

Yes the multipronged approach definitely is a good idea. I am trying some of the Renew Life products now after reading her book, she is a well educated lady and up there with Jini's material in quality material, you might want to take a look at her products, I am trying Intestinew as it has alot of good stuff in it to heal the intestinal lining which I sorely need. This whole idea that digestive system dysfunctions and organs in the system failing to do their jobs right being all caused mostly by poor digestion rings alot of bells for me and is worth looking into. I am also looking into energy approaches and reading some books on that. You probably all know the feeling that being so focused on these problems on a daily basis can just perpetuate them in your reality, finding a way to energetically change your beliefs etc. can literally change your body overnite if its done right. I'm reading a book called Matrix Engergetics thats really good.

I'm also trying something from Canada called Aerobic Oxygen that has a 20 history of a whole list of miraculous help for the body, candida in particular. One word of warning about that product, there is a company in the US using the same name for an inferior product and are blatantly quoting all the materials from the originators at Good For You in Canada. I don't know how they can get away with this but they do. There's a seller on Ebay who sells the real thing. My head feels alot clearer since I've been taking it on a daily basis for a couple weeks now, brain fog is way less.
