YOu may recall in the recent past I was having unexplained inflammation in my body. Coumadin was the culprit.
Things have improved dramaticaly now I am not on it anymore. BUT I just can't get a firm stool. I sometimes only go 2 times a day , trying to stick to the right foods, doing glutamine, doing 12 billion Natren in the AM and 12 billion in the PM. I put it in water. Some times I will have more frequent days ( or nights, like last night)

When I first got off the rem. diet. I had lots of gas, bloating, pain spasams. I have none of that. The gas is minimum and no pain. So I feel there is continued healing and improvement. I just can't get things to go solid. I have tried a little psyllium but it doesn't really cut it. I notice to that some movements are kind of explosive. I am feeling awesome, lots of energy, skin looks good again, nails are growing. Hematocrit is 33+ , it was as low at 7 at one time!!.
What am I not doing that I can do to get things to firm up??? I actually had some firm stools back a couple of months ago .
I have gone to Lovenox for the thinner in place of the coumadin. I am trying to transition to Nattokinase for my blood therapy.
Anything you can suggest I would greatly appreciate. If it is just a matter of patience okay. I have tried the Life STart Natren, should I have stayed on it longer??? thanks for your time..... blessings!!

Barb,

I'm so happy to hear that you're doing better! What a journey you've had!

What is the approximate ratio of solid foods to Absorb Plus shakes (if you're still taking any of the shakes on a regular basis)?

If all other signs are of improvement, it may indeed just be a phase your body is going through. What do your doctor and naturopath have to say?

Also, are you still taking the olive leaf extract? (I remember you were going to try that.)

Nicole :D

Nicole,
I was down to one shake a day in the am, and sometimes no shakes at all. I would eat a couple of eggs in the morning, instead of the shake and then go on from there with the foods I could eat.
I introduced wraps , you know burrito shell kind of things, I m wondering if the gluten was to much too soon? It didnt' bother me for a long time, then all of a sudden I just started having lots of movements all day long and into the night. Last night I actually had a little bleeding. bummer. I have gone back to almost exclusive shakes and I have had a quieter day. If it is just a matter of backing down again and restarting okay, it just seemed like what I was eating was working and then bam!
I still feel great, just can't get to far from a bathroom.

getting firm stools again

Nicole I forget to tell you , I did the olive leaf but really it was making me go alot so I backed off. I have had many parasite tests and they all come up negative. My doc wants me to do a DNA, it is very conclusive cuz it doesn't depend on live specimens. I think I will do it.

gluten

I have been tested for celiac and it was negative. I think I just thought it was okay becuse the effect wasn't immediate. Will try the corn warps next time. It' ll be a while. Things have definitely slowed down I am back to about 3 times a day. Very explosive, but I have learned the key to that issue is go as soon as you feel the need. DON"T wait!!! :D
Thank you for the feed back Nicole. I am learning paitience and trust in God to bring my body along , into the healing that it was designed to do.

Hi, Barb.

Well, here are my ideas, based on my own experience and reading about others'.

It's not unusual for things to be somewhat cyclical, especially when you're early in your healing journey. When I was on Jini's Wild Oregano Protocol, I was flipping back and forth between the first two phases every three or four months. However, each time was less severe. (Similar to what Jini talks about in Chapter One of LTYG - there are ups and downs, but overall, there is improvement.)

Conversely, I found that each time I had to back up to my starting point therapies (in my case, Phase One of Jini's Wild Oregano Protocol), I felt better sooner. In other words, the first time I took it, I was on it for about six weeks and in conjunction with the elemental diet; the next time, when my symptoms began to come back, it didn't take as long for symptoms to resolve and for me to feel good again. Probably because I was starting from a better place to begin with.

The difficult thing with the olive leaf extract or oil of oregano is that the increased bowel movements can be a very good thing (the body getting rid of pathogens) or a sign of intolerance. There's no hard and fast rule, but here are some thoughts on figuring out which one it is:

http://www.jinipatelthompson.com/bb2/vi ... .php?t=217

The other difficult thing - going from my own experience - was that it was kind of depressing each time I had to go back to Phase One. I kept hoping that this time would be the time I'd really be well, able to go and stay on the Maintenance Diet, etc. So that aspect needs to be addressed, as well. You already know about EFT and you have a strong faith which you've expressed is very sustaining for you, so I'm sure you are addressing that side of things, but I wanted to mention it for others' benefit.

Hope that helps.

so much better

I will start the olive leaf again, but I have found that I can get good results with lower dosages. I am only 113 lbs and even at a higher weight a little of anything goes a long way with me. Thats one of the reasons I know drugs are not going to benefit me. Its a one size fits all.

I know what you mean about how set backs can throw you, I have to fight depression almost every morning. It is like it sits on the edge of my bed waiting for me to wake up, it will even try to infiltrate my dreams. I have scripture that are promises of Gods working on my behalf, not because I am perfect but because of the simple fact that HE is who HE says He is, and He loves me. It is a truth that has been with me for many years, but I have to say that even the death of my daughter was in so many ways easier to deal with than over a year of ill health and unbelievable suffering and pain. There is a real battle to keep a good attitude and to keep hope alive , especially when you feel like you just keep starting over, or getting slapped down. Fighting this battle takes unbelievable courage. Even those who have felt they needed to do the drug route for a season, it takes courage, and hope that you have to fight for. So many battles on so many fronts.
Your encouragement has been vital and essential in the battle of hope.
Thank you.
Things have really quieted down since I stopped all gluten. Regrouping and starting again.
blessings,
barb

Hi, Barb.

I'm glad to hear that things are quieting down!

You're right - no matter which route you take in dealing with chronic illness, it takes courage and belief to keep going.

My thoughts are with you.

All the best,
Nicole
