Consultations

Hello,

I was curious to see if anyone has had a consultation with Jini or with Dr. Carolyn Dean?

If so what was it like and were you happy with the experience?

Thanks

Consultations

Postby Nicole on Mon Nov 27, 2006 8:00 pm

Hi, Anthony.

I have just recently had a consultation with Dr. Carolyn Dean.

Not only is she as nice as can be, but she did give me some suggestions that I may never have thought of on my own for continuing to improve my health. I am feeling very optimistic and excited about putting these suggestions into practice.

The way the process works is that you first pay for your consultation time. Then, she will send you some forms to fill out. If like me, prior to this you had only ever seen an allopathic doctor, the first thing you will notice is that the health history questions she asks you are MUCH more comprehensive than anything you've ever filled out before....which I think is a very good thing. I felt happy about all the good questions she asked even before I ever had my actual consultation with her.

After you have filled out the forms and sent them, along with a detailed health history, to Dr. Dean, the actual consultation is booked.

Besides the excellent suggestions she gave me, one of the things I felt was also very beneficial was getting some outside recognition of all the things I'm already doing well. Of course, I already know that I'm feeling so much better than I ever was when I was really ill with Crohn's....like night and day, in fact....and that's my final arbiter. But it still takes some energy to "ignore" the doom-and-gloom attitude of my GI doc, who treats me like a walking time bomb for having declined to take prednisone and Asacol.

So all in all, I'd say the cost of the consultation was money well spent.

Hope this helps!

I had the 30-minute consultation. But next time, I will choose an hour session.

I have also had consultations with Jini and Dr. Dean. I highly recommend working with both of them. They were extermely thorough in their review of my history and responsive to my needs. You will definitely come away with a lot of helpful suggestions and advice, as well as a source for future support.

Booking a consultation w/ Dr. Dean

Postby Nicole on Sun Dec 03, 2006 6:59 pm

You need to first purchase the consultation time through Dr. Dean's store. Here's the website address for that.

http://www.carolyndean.com/store

As part of the purchase process, you will note what your e-mail address is. From there, Dr. Dean will contact you via e-mail, send you the forms, etc. and book the actual consultation time.

Hi Nicole,
Thanks for your response. I would love to talk with you directly some time. My home email is adaly@mts.net so feel free to email me. You are kind of an inspiration to me. I have been working with Crohn's for the last 3 years as well but seem to have many related problems that are complicating my ability to figure out what to do.
