My daughter successfully underwent j-pouch surgery for treatment of her severe ulcerative colitis. All was well until she developed a pouch-vaginal fistula. no meds have helped it to heal and she is planning to have surgery to repair this situation. We would like to avoid surgery and were wondering if going on your elemental diet along with the fissure heal suppositories could heal this. Other than this problem, her health is excellent. The fistula did not develop because of Crohns disease, it appears she healed this way after her final stage of surgery. Your help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
