help cant stop bleeding

Postby Nicole on Wed Oct 18, 2006 8:33 pm

Hi, Angie.

I can hear your fear in your post and I can sympathize. I think that of all the symptoms of IBD, bleeding is definitely the most scary. About a month ago, I had a little bit of blood when I'd have a bowel movement; this happened three days in a row and I was really, really worried about it. About three weeks later, I finally figured out the pattern: it only happens when I strain a little bit when having a bowel movement and evidently, the blood is from my internal hemorrhoids. So it turned out not to be a serious situation, but initially, it was still really quite scary and depressing.

I'm not suggesting anything other than what's in Jini's book, Listen to Your Gut, which I also have, but hope it will be reassuring to you just to hear from someone else who also deals with the ups and downs of IBD.

First, are you doing EFT or some other mind/body therapy to deal with the fear and stress of the bleeding? To me, that's the number one thing...even before addressing the physical bleeding itself. You're going to be in a much better position to deal with the physical aspects once you're coming from a calmer and more confident place emotionally and of everything I've tried, EFT is tops for that. You might even use EFT while asking your body to stop the bleeding, that you don't need it, and asking it to heal as quickly as possible.

Second, if your bleeding is colonic, have you considered trying Jini's Healing Implant Enema? I haven't utilized the healing enema myself, but I've used comfrey (contained in the healing enema) externally for various minor wounds and it really does work very, very quickly and effectively.

If the bleeding is profuse, you might also consider going on the elemental diet. I've gone on the elemental diet twice: once for six weeks to go into remission and once for two weeks to give my body a gentle detox and to gain five pounds. The diet is expensive to follow, but it really does work well; the results are well worth the price tag.

Hope things work out well for you. Please let us all know how you do, whatever you decide to follow as a treatment protocol.

Best Regards,
Nicole

Are you treating infectious component?

Postby Jini Admin on Wed Oct 25, 2006 6:26 pm

Wow Nicole! Excellent reply to this post - do you want to take over from me?

The only thing I can add to Nicole's advice - which hit every aspect bang on - is to encourage you to try Jini's Wild Oregano Oil Protocol, followed by Jini's Probiotic Retention Enema (both in Ch. 2 of LTYG). These will really help you get the root of things and support long-term healing.

Remember, you have to address the infectious component of symptoms will keep recurring.

Hi Angie,

I'm new in this forum and a bit unsure about sharing my experience. I was diagnosed with chron's after undergoing a colonoscopy in 2002. I had horrible tummy pains and i had bleeding which i originally thought was just from my hemmorhoids. i was asked to go on steroids, but having been very keen on breastfeeding my daughter who was 6 months old at the time, i refused. i learned about Jini's book and bought it...liked it...and felt i should give it a shot...especially that i didn't want to take any drugs. I went on a 6-week elemental diet...even while i was breastfeeding. It was tough, because i breastfed by demand...didn't want to put any schedules on my daughter. But it was great. I did not have access to all the vitamins all at once, especially the aloe vera, as i was in Indonesia at the time, but the elemental diet worked wonders for me. I went on it again for 4 weeks a year after that...and around 6-8 months before my 2nd colonoscopy which my doctor convinced me to take....as i was posted overseas. So, i scheduled one on our holiday trip back to Australia (oh yes i am Australian) and my ulceration got better....so much so that the doctor said maybe i was originally misdiagnosed by my doctor. Obviously he didn't believe that anything aside from steroids can correct the problem. He said that my elemental diet was like taking toasted bread and tea for a diarrhea problem. He bugged me for a while....but hey at the end of the day, it is my body...and i am much healthier for going through that elemental diet. Oh and yes, my original doctor (who i couldn't go to the 2nd time around because of scheduling problems) was fully supportive of my elemental diet...so that was good...gave me some peace of mind.

I also think Nicole's advise of preparing yourself emotionally is important...because chron's is a stressful disorder and having doctors around and even people who aren't supportive of our decisions to go natural...makes it a bit difficult for us to go on. So, double yes to Nicoles suggestion of doing the EFT.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Michelle
